These are the Days to Remember

Well, I spent much of yesterday completing Jackson's two year old photo album. Needless to say he is 6! So, I am just a wee bit behind. My cousin, Dana, had the great suggestion of making one book per year and combining all of the boys pics. So, maybe I do have a chance of getting caught up! Here are a few pics from my stroll down memory lane.

Looking through those photographs put a smile on my face, tears in my eyes, and an ache in my heart. Time really does fly! It is a daily effort to remind myself to enjoy these boys and not get caught up in what is not getting done around the house or with my work. I am really trying to "be present" and "in the moment". I am constantly reminding myself to be thankful for Nolan's spilled milk on the floor, the boys' rough housing, their muddy clothes, Jackson's dirty fingernails, and Grayson's popsicle melted inside his toy car. One day all too soon, I will long for a little mess to clean, a pudding face to kiss, or a "kiki" (blanket) to wash.

October '08

Well, here goes nothing! I am not one to blog, not even a writer! I have no claim to "funny" or even witty sarcasm. However, I thought I would give this a try b/c I am feeling the pressure to perform! This reminds of when I scrap booked b/c I felt like a "terrible mom" if I didn't. What a nightmare for the uncrafty!!! I made it through two books and was about 5 years behind when thankfully my sister introduced me to SnapFish. Now I make albums online and they are sent right to my door with no need for gluing, cutting out cute borders, or making a 4x7 pic. into a masterpiece of form. Anyway, I digress and could go on and on about my shortcomings as the "perfect mom." You know, the one I had all intentions of being. Oh, well.

We celebrated Nolan's birthday and Grayson's birthday together at the lake. Thankfully, Grayson is just turning two and won't feel slighted this year:)
